2007 Christmas letter

Well another year is coming to a close so here is a recap of the years’ happenings of 2007 in the Brown Household.

Jordan (16) has had a some what productive summer, he was able to get on a work release program from juvenile detention. He’s learned not to joy ride in a car with Onstar. Man they find you fast! His boss at Honey Bucket says he has a real aptitude for the work. Next year when he comes back he probably won’t have to scrub the insides anymore. His future probably lies in running the suction tube.

We have started the “send Marlee(15) to boarding school fund” this year. My neighbor told me that “teenager” is a disease that cures itself around their 17th birthday, my ulcer can’t take 18 more months of this illness. Her boyfriend stopped by to show her his new “Marlee Forever” tattoo. He’s really a good guy under all those piercings and “body art”. Once he gets his license back he’ll be able to get a job. And with the money left over after his alimony payments they can take in a movie or something.

Rachel (12) has finally gotten through the 6’s on her multiplication tables and since then her math grade has shot up to a high D-, really great for her. Junior High has been a real blessing for her. Rachel’s quest for Junior High immortality has been stymied by her new responsibility of Lunch room garbage monitor. Although as rewarding as it is, it takes her 15-20 minutes to get all the food out of her hair (mean kids). It wouldn’t be so bad but the lunch lady has a clear shot from the back with the mashed potatoes (mean lunch lady).

Kerri (11) is enjoying her 2nd year in 3rd grade. It was so much fun she really wanted to do it again. Suzanne’s looking forward to Kerri’s extended time in school as a result of her spending 2 years in each grade. At this rate Kerri will be able to start a family when she is freshman. Her teachers really say she is a joy to have in class. Except for 1st grade, but we paid for all the fire damage so I don’t know why she still holds a grudge.

Suzanne (29) has decided to join the working class and the extra income has been a real blessing. The extra cash came in handy paying of the recent surgical enhancements and Botox. The doctors did look at us funny when she paid in cash with 5’s and ones. Suzanne or “Roxy” as she is called at work loves her co-workers and looking forward to some new routines this next year.

I (29+) have been working hard trying to keep up with the financial needs of the family. Surgeries, tutors, lawyer fees and bail all add up. I’ve taken up sewing to help with Suzanne’s costumes and have actually gotten pretty good at it. This years the kids are getting all hand made clothes. I am really excited to put the sewing machine in high gear to see what I can pump out. How hard can it be??

We wish you well in the New Year – enjoy your peace, your quiet, a life that does not resemble Nanny 911. Whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right?

Love

Three Generations

Three Generations, they get better looking and better looking

Mass family Visit

Since the 13th of November and ending on Sunday the 25th we have hosted 16 family members in our home. After the first wave (the largest) was gone it was weird having the quiet. Teana & Tracey (and kids) then Ken, Ryan and Dad visited with families in tow. The cousins had fun together and grandpa poses with Dave's kids and Celia. Ryan gets some time with Gramps.
